Guide By Your Side: Providing unbiased, emotional support and resources by trained Parent Guides to families with children who have a hearing loss.

 Guide By Your Side provides:

• A fully trained Parent Guide who will listen, share resources and personal experiences in a compassionate and knowledgeable way
• Unbiased support
• Parent Guides who have first-hand experience from raising their own child who has a hearing loss

 Why is Parent Support Important?

• It helps families identify options without telling them which options to choose
• It offers experience from a Parent Guide who knows what it is like to raise a child who has a hearing loss
• It gives the family a chance to meet others who are traveling down the same path

 Who is Eligible for the Guide By Your Side Program?

• Illinois Families and families receiving services in Illinois
• Families who have a child who has a hearing loss or a hearing loss is suspected

 How Much Does it Cost?

• The Guide By Your Side program is free to families
